CBP’s new electronic invoice indicator on statement – compliance deadline extended

As mentioned in our blog post of September 29, 2010, US Customs (CBP) has added a new field to preliminary duty statements which serves as an indicator that an electronic invoice is required for the corresponding entry when submitted via the Automated Commercial System (ACS).    To allow the trade to make necessary software updates, CBP has extended the deadline to comply with this requirement to November 15, 2010.

The official announcement is available here.
