This American Shipper survey, published in partnership with the National Retail Federation (NRF), the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA), and the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA), explores how successful companies are managing their domestic and global transportation procurement, the technology they use for procurement, and how current issues like port congestion and driver shortages are affecting their buying activity.
The data from this survey will form the basis for American Shipper‘s annual Transportation Procurement Benchmark Report, to be released in spring 2016. This year’s survey focuses on a number of areas, including how procurement is affected by port congestion and the driver shortage , and how omnichannel strategy impacts transportation procurement. As with last year’s survey, there are also a number of questions related to procurement of specific modes.
